The Nauru government is offering citizenship to foreigners to raise funding because it is threatened with drowning due to rising sea levels caused by the climate crisis. The announcement was made directly by Nauru President David Adeang. The President said that the Nauru Government had opened a "golden passport" scheme for foreigners who wanted to buy citizenship of the island country in the Pacific region.[1]

Each passport is priced at 105,000 US dollars or around IDR. 1.7 billion for one person, as reported by The Guardian. In return, buyers of the Nauru passport get visa-free access to 89 countries including the UK, Ireland, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Singapore. The proceeds from the "citizenship sale" will be used to relocate 90 percent of its citizens deeper into the island because sea levels have eroded its coast.[2]

"For Nauru, this is not just about adapting to climate change, but about securing a sustainable and prosperous future for future generations," Adeang told AFP.  He said that the "selling citizenship" strategy was not just for survival. "This is about ensuring future generations have safe, resilient and sustainable homes. We are ready for the journey ahead," said Adeang.[3] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

Yasmin said that Dwi Rahayu came with a tempting offer to invest in building a rest area in the YIA Airport area. Even though she initially refused, pressure from her wife, who was influenced by Dwi Rahayu's advances, made Yasmin finally get caught in the fraud scheme.[1]

Yasmin, who is a former teacher, also only received the remaining salary of around IDR 400 thousand instead of IDR 4 million. "I only received 10 percent of my IDR 4.5 million salary, now I only receive IDR 450 thousand," said Yasmin. Although hope was raised when the pension portion increased to IDR 750 thousand per month in January 2025, this amount is still far from enough to meet the living needs of an elderly person.[2]

The victim of Dwi Rahayu's fraud was not only Yasmin Istono. Many other retirees, including Ngatinem from Kulonprogo, experienced the same thing. Based on the data collected, more than 100 retired TNI (Indonesian National Army), Polri (National Police), teachers, civil servants and widows have become victims of the Persit (Army Wives Association) elements, with total losses reaching IDR 26.7 billion.[3] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

Indonesia now officially has Pegadaian Gold Bank Services and Indonesian Sharia Bank, which were inaugurated directly by President Prabowo Subianto at The Gade Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 26 2025. This inauguration is a historic moment for national gold management, in line with the increase in Indonesia's gold production which has now reached 160 tons per year. "Today, approaching 80 years of our independence, we are proud that for the first time in the history of the Indonesian nation, which has the sixth largest gold reserves in the world, it will have a gold bank for the first time," said President Prabowo in his speech. This gold bank service is expected to accelerate people's gold savings, increase the country's gold reserves, and strengthen monetary stability. According to the President, this step will increase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by IDR 245 trillion, open 1.8 million new jobs, and save the country's foreign exchange by ensuring that gold is processed and stored domestically. "We hope this will accelerate savings and increase our gold reserves," said the President.[1]

Apart from that, the presence of gold banking services will also support the gold liquidation mechanism for national banks and make domestic gold transactions easier. President Prabowo believes this policy will strengthen the national economic structure and increase Indonesia's financial independence. President Prabowo also emphasized that this inauguration was the result of hard work by various parties over many years. President Prabowo also appreciated the hard work of all parties involved in creating the first gold bank in Indonesia. “I would like to thank all the elements who have worked hard. My appreciation goes to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, the Minister of BUMN, all directors of Himbara banks, directors of Pegadaian, Bank Syariah Indonesia and all those who have worked hard so that today we have a service ecosystem for the Pegadaian gold bank and Bank Syariah Indonesia, which is the first gold bank in our republic," said the President.[2]

With the inauguration of the Pegadaian Gold Bank and Indonesian Sharia Bank Services, Indonesia has further strengthened its position as one of the countries with the largest gold management in the world, while strengthening national economic sovereignty. Also present at the event were ambassadors from friendly countries, Red and White Cabinet Ministers, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, BI Governor Perry Warjiyo, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Mahendra Siregar, President Director of PT. This Why Electronic Land Certificates Are Safer Than Physical Ones

The government has started implementing and inviting people to switch to electronic land certificates. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid ensures that electronic land certificates are safer than paper or physical documents. Nusron explained that electronic certificate storage in the data center is backed up in layers. This will make it difficult for hackers to retrieve land certificate data. "The data center is layered. It is stored, I cannot mention it. It is stored in five places. Layered here, here, backed up and so on. There is first line, second line, third layer, fourth layer, up to fifth layer, up to layers," said Nusron when met by journalists at the ATR/BPN office, South Jakarta.[1]

According to him, hackers will not be able to break into these five layers. In this way, electronic certificates are considered safe. "It's impossible for electronic goods with back-up to be layered, isn't it? If someone hacks them or breaks them, it's all broken, it's impossible," he said.[2]

In contrast to paper certificates, according to Nusron, these documents are actually more unsafe. He said paper certificates were easily lost due to theft or accidents such as fire. "If it's paper, once it's stolen, stolen, robbed (if) one is lost (then) it's all lost. Fire, everything's lost. If you can check this on your laptop, you can check it on your cellphone, you can check this," said Nusron.[3] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

A Russian military court sentenced a man accused of spying for Ukraine to 16 years in prison. This Russian man is accused of providing data about military sites near Moscow to Ukraine and preparing attacks in that country. The Russian Investigative Committee in its statement, said the unidentified man filmed an air defense system in the Podolsk area, which is about 40 kilometers south of Moscow, in April last year. The man then sent images of the air defense system, accompanied by geographic data, the Russian Investigative Committee said, to his "mentor in Ukraine to guide drone strikes against these military sites".[1]

The Russian Investigative Committee said that the man on trial also brought weapons from Ukraine to Russian territory in 2017, to prepare attacks in several regions, including Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod, all of which border Ukraine. A Russian military court also found the man guilty on charges of preparing an attack, weapons smuggling and involvement in terrorist activities.[2]

Russia has launched a crackdown on those who criticize what it calls Moscow's special military operations in Ukraine since February 2022. The critics are being tried on various charges, ranging from treason, terrorism, extremism, sabotage, to espionage. Increasingly, trials against critics of Russia's military operations or invasion of Ukraine are increasing.[3] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.

The Consumer Court in Bangalore, India, decided that the PVR INOX cinema chain must compensate for the delay in screening the film which occurred in December 2023. The case that happened to Abhishek MR (30) began when he ordered three tickets for a Bollywood film which was scheduled to be shown at 16.05 local time, but the film only started at 16.30 because the trailer and advertisements were 25 minutes long. In his lawsuit, Abhishek stated that the delay made him lose valuable time and disrupted his schedule, so that he could not return to work on time after the film ended.[1]

He claimed that the incident caused mental suffering and caused losses that could not be measured in money. "In the modern era, time is money. Everyone has valuable time, and no one has the right to waste other people's time and money," he said. He added, "It is very difficult for busy people with busy schedules to watch unnecessary advertisements."[2]

In the decision that was handed down, the court ordered PVR INOX to pay a fine of 100,000 rupees (around IDR. 19 million), plus compensation of 50,000 rupees (around IDR. 9.4 million) for mental suffering, as well as 10,000 rupees (around IDR. 1.8 million) for the costs of filing a complaint. The cinema stated that screening public service advertisements was an obligation of the government, as well as providing an opportunity for viewers who arrived late. However, the court considered that broadcasting commercial advertisements beyond the scheduled time was unjustified. Meanwhile, ticket booking platform BookMyShow, which Abhishek also sued, was found not liable as it had no control over the screening of advertisements in cinemas.[3] And if you have any legal issue in Indonesia territory, contact us for business inquiry, feel free in 24 hour, we will be glad to assist you.
